I am not saying the video is bad, it’s just that it lacks that punch, that pizzazz which makes the song so damn energetic! But in my head, the imagery/video for this song is very, very different. I do love how it’s stayed true to it’s 80’s style. The video sort of destroys my impression of the song. Oh my god, the sax freaking awesome (courtesy Thomas Edinger)!!! The sax solo, which like any good song from the 80’s, eventually fades out. The song has all the right elements, from the drums to the sax. Until I hadn’t seen the official video, the song, in my opinion, could have been a soundtrack for a hit 80’s TV drama that features a rebellious protagonist (David Hasselhoff, maybe) who fights bad guys and rides a bike. The title track from The Midnight’s album, Days Of Thunder is a tribute to the 80’s style of music. Sounds strange doesn’t it? Read on.Īfter their success with WeMoveForward, The Midnight released their second single from their album, Days of Thunder, a track by the same name. It features 2 tracks, which although extremely are the same couldn’t be more different than one another. The Midnight’s Days Of Thunder has to be one of my favourite EPs this year.
